The number of enterprises resuming operations in Tianfu Life Science Park hit a peak on February 10.

Tianfu Life Science Park ramps up the prevention and control of COVID-19, and at the same time, helps enterprises surmount the difficulty of resuming operations. What was the status of operation resumption yesterday?

Many enterprises filed the application according to the requirements of the notice ahead of time last week. Overall, the resumption of operations went smoothly yesterday.

 

Emergency Response Plan (ERP)

Under Tianfu Life Science Park’s emergency response plan (ERP) for resumption of operations, the management company mapped out rational routes well in advance for people and vehicles entering and leaving the park, and simulated park entry. People and vehicles are directed to take separate routes, and cannot enter unless they got the entry-exit card they previously from the park and have their temperature checked. Proper management and control has ensured the orderly resumption of operations in Tianfu Life Science Park, and has prevented large-scale crowding and prolonged congestion at the checkpoint.

 

On February 10, 45 enterprises in Tianfu Life Science Park were given the go-ahead to resume operations; 1,727 of their workforce arrived at their workplace. And 57 enterprises deployed personnel to handle essential business.

Early in the morning, enterprises (accounting for the majority) that have filed the application and got the permission to resume operations received the entry-exit cards at the gate. With this card, their employees can return to work in the park after a temperature check.

The staff of the Bureau of Ecological Environment and Urban Management of Chengdu High-Tech Zone (“BEEUM” for short) work in Tianfu Life Science Park and check out the preparations that enterprises—those which have filed the application and are under review—have made to resume operations. These enterprises will get the vehicle entry-exit cards and personnel entry-exit cards if they meet the criteria for resuming operations. Many of them have been able to resume work in this way.

 

Enterprises that have not filed the application can only dispatch three employees maximum to work in their facilities in the park. These employees must first have their temperature checked and register at the checkpoint before they are given temporary permits and admission.

 

Areas where epidemic prevention is the top concern, such as public spaces, gates of enterprises which have deployed personnel to handle essential business, facilities for the disposal of domestic garbage, halls, elevators and toilets in the park, are constantly disinfected. They have been disinfected 11 times so far; public spaces are disinfected once every hour.

 

Tianfu Life Science Park gives tips on the prevention of the novel coronavirus, keeps a running record of disinfections in every building, and provides medical alcohol at checkpoints and receptions for disinfection purposes.

In the afternoon, the park management company’s support team and property management staff examined the enterprises that resumed work that day.

 

They aimed to make sure they have put in place epidemic prevention supplies, their numbers of employees are consistent with that they submitted before, and whether they have the demand for meals. Many enterprises did a satisfactory job.

The park management company also notified enterprises that intend to resume work but have not yet submitted the application of the procedures and requirements, and urged them to complete the formalities.

1. Declare the number of employees and related information truthfully;

2. Enterprise employees must take good care of the entry-exit card for it’s the only valid certificate of the right of access to the park.

3. People who do not wear face masks shall not be allowed to enter the park during the period of epidemic prevention.

4. Deliverymen are prohibited from entering the park during the period of epidemic prevention.

5. The park canteen stays closed; its application for resumption of business is under review.

Next, the park management company will cooperate with BEEUM, Xiaojiahe Subdistrict Office and the Chengdu Life Science Park community office in epidemic prevention so the resumption of work can go smoothly in the park, and help enterprises complete the formalities according to relevant requirements. More effective measures will be taken at checkpoints to ensure the smooth operation of the park after large-scale resumption of work.
