Gazelle enterprises have become an important indicator to measure regional innovation vitality.

It is the most remarkable feature of all gazelle enterprises to grow as fast as gazelle running. Well, how fast are gazelle enterprises growing in Sichuan?

According to the data provided by SCST, the average compound income growth rate of the selected enterprises in the past 3 years was 150%. What does it mean? Assuming that the first year's income is RMB 100, if the compound income growth rate is 150%, it will be about RMB 1,600 in 3 years - an increase of 15 times.

From RMB 4.35 million to RMB 550 million, the revenue growth of Chengdu Suncadia Medicine Co., Ltd. even far exceeds 16 times in 3 years. In the Implementation Plan of Sichuan Gazelle Enterprise Cultivation Action (2019-2022), at least the following conditions are required for a gazelle enterprise in Sichuan Province:

● "Age": 3-10 years since its establishment;

● "Occupation": its main business should belong to the strategic emerging industry, high-tech industry, modern service industry, new economy and emerging industry, and "5 + 1" industrial field supported by the country and our province;

● "Mandatory Indices": growth indicators, such as the total income and net profit keep positive growth in the past 3 years and reach the corresponding growth standard according to its scale; innovation capability index, such as the average R & D investment intensity in recent 3 years is no less than 5%.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Department, the selected enterprises will receive targeted scientific research projects worth RMB 800,000.

And they will gain great support in financing, including the collaboration with financial institutions, and preferential recommendation to be listed in science and technology innovation board.

According to the relevant person in charge of SCST, henceforth, our province will issue one or two batches of gazelle enterprises filing lists every year, and more than 300 gazelle enterprises are expected to be selected by 2022.
