The open ceremony of Inheritance and Innovation Industrialization Demonstration Base of Sichuan Tibetan Medicine of Southern School cum the signing ceremony of Scientific Research Cooperation Framework Agreement sponsored by the Management Committee of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Dege County People's Government was successfully held in Tianfu Life Science Park on August 28.

Chen Ronghu, deputy director general of the Science and Technology Division of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cheng Jing, deputy governor of Ganzi Prefecture People's Government, Yu Hui, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the management committee director of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Huang Jie, deputy secretary of the CPC Dege County Committee and head of Dege County People's Government, and Zhao Junning, president of Sichuan Academy of Chinese Medicine Sciences, attended the ceremony and inaugurated the base.

Delivery of base operation keys

Sichuan Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences awarded the base with the plaque of "Technical Assistance Base for Poverty Alleviation of Tibetan Medicine of Southern School", and the Institute of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of Southwest University for Nationalities awarded the base with the plaque of "Cooperative R&D Base of Tibetan Medicine of Southern School ".

Signing ceremony for framework agreement on research cooperation

Chengdu COMFAITH Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the Bio-pharmaceutical Analysis and Testing Public Platform of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone also signed framework agreements on scientific research cooperation with Dege County People's Government and base operator respectively.

Address by Director Yu Hui

Director Yu Hui said in his speech: "the base will fully integrate the medical sources of the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and the Tibetan Medicine of Southern School of Dege County, provide strong support for Tibetan Medicine in terms of technology mining, achievement transformation and modernization R&D based on the government-oriented and diversified market capital operation mode, and strive for a breakthrough of "zero" SFDA approval number of Tibetan Medicine, which will be a new starting point for Tibetan Medicine of Southern School of Dege County to walked out of the Tibetan region, and go global.

Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone will continue to implement the decision and deployment of the central government and provinces on aiding Tibet in poverty alleviation, strive to continuously strengthen measures in terms of funds, talents, projects and so on, and spare no effort to improve the performance in assisting Dege. I believe that, Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Dege County will surely bear new fruits, and make the "high-tech flower" bloom on the plateau with our joint efforts."

Tianfu Life Science Park (Phase I)

The Inheritance and Innovation Industrialization Demonstration Base of Sichuan Tibetan Medicine of Southern School is located in the Tianfu Life Science Park. As the exchange platform of Dege County and all kinds of social resources in the development of Tibetan Medicine of Southern School, and the window to promote Kangba Culture in Southwest China, the demonstration base will accurately link the source endowment of Tibetan Medicine of Southern School in Dege County and the bio-pharmaceutical industry development advantages of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, so as to drive farmers to get rich by Tibetan Medicine industry, and promote the rural revitalization and sustainable development of Dege County.

The base will carry out multi-level and wide-ranging cooperation among institutes, universities, local governments and enterprises together with Sichuan Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Southwest University for Nationalities, Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA and other institutions, so as to implement joint technological research & development, and talent cultivation, and enhance technological innovation ability.
