Chengdu, a new first tier city, has started its layout in new tracks. It was agreed at 9th Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee that we should adhere to the layout of new tracks to shape future competitive advantages, accelerate the layout of new tracks, the cultivation of new racers and the construction of new tracks with strategic vision and forward-looking thinking, and comprehensively improve the industrial competitiveness.

 

       Chengdu is laying out in five new tracks to reshape Chengdu's new competitive advantages in late-mover surpassing.

 

 

       # New biology track

       A series of important advances and breakthroughs made in modern biotechnology are accelerating the penetration into the application field and profoundly changing the development mode of world economy and the way of life of human society. Bioeconomy is the fourth new economic wave that mankind is experiencing after agricultural economy, industrial economy and information economy.

 

       Striving to take new biological tracks is a key factor to resolve the sharp contradiction between resource scarcity and large population and improve the quality of life. New tracks including biological vaccine, brain science application, synthetic biology, innovative drug and precision medicine have expanded the life pattern in the era of bioeconomy.

 

       Biomedical industry is one of the three dominating industries in Chengdu High-tech Zone. Driven by the situation and positioning, the biomedical industry in Chengdu High-tech Zone has ushered in new opportunities and challenges.        Contributing to the Development of Biomedical Enterprises

 

       China's first national pilot demonstration base for the transfer and transformation of special achievements of new drugs has been established in the High-tech Zone, and nearly 3000 enterprises such as Sanofi, Allergan, Brilliant, Ronsen, Di'ao, Maccura and Medtronic have gathered together, initially forming a key industrial cluster covering modern Chinese medicine, chemical drugs, biological agents and medical equipment.

 

       With the support of the rich biomedical R&D resources in Chengdu and even Sichuan as well as the innovation incubation support system of the High-tech Zone, Tianfu Life Science Park has initially formed "Five Aggregations" of talents, enterprises, projects, platforms and capital.

       Making the Transportation Convenient to Pave the Way for Enterprise Development

 

       Besides policy and industry development, convenient transportation is also an important "magic weapon" to retain talents and accelerate enterprise development. The High-tech Zone belongs to the downtown area of Chengdu, with complete supporting facilities extending in all directions. The main transportation is composed of “Nine-vertical and Ten-horizontal" backbone road network and six rail transit lines. The transportation is very convenient and the advantages are obvious.

 

 

       Tianfu Life Science Park Phase I is adjacent to Gaopeng Avenue Subway Station, which is the transfer station between line 7 and line 8. It is very convenient to go to Shuangliu International Airport, South Railway Station and East Railway Station. Just this year, the underpass tunnel of Gaopeng Avenue has been completed, and the park can be reached by walking 300m or 400m, greatly shortening the commuting time.
