"It is an exciting place full of vigor and vitality." On September 11, Tianfu Life Science Park in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone received EDVARD MOSER, a guest of the 17th Western China Overseas Hi-tech and High Talents Conference and a Nobel laureate. During the two-hour visit, he visited the Park to see its construction and meet with personnel of enterprises, which impressed him deeply.

At the first 10 minutes after he entered the Park, with the introduction of responsible person of the Park, MOSER can feel deeply the strong atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship here. "There are so many startups here, and where do they secure capital?" asked he. "Besides own capital, we can also seek from policy-based fund and investment of social capital. Meanwhile, to empower these enterprises, the Park has established a public technology platform, and offers HR, brand planning and promotion, and other services." Hearing the answer of the responsible person, MOSER was impressed and said, "Amazing!"

There are more worth visiting. During his visit, he learned that many enterprises have established presence overseas, he said, "Sichuan enterprises have a bright future."

At the meeting, he noted that the representatives of 10 enterprises all spoke English, and many of them talked with him in English in the whole meeting. "Are there many people who have overseas learning background? And those who speak English?" asked MOSER? "Among the 300 employees in our company, 20% of them hold doctorate, half of the doctors have studied overseas. Many of our clients are foreign enterprises, and our working language is English," said the responsible person of Chengdu HitGen Inc. MOSER was very glad to hear that, "Scientific innovation entails international exchanges, and the more exchanges, the better. During the process of exchange, language is the foundation and can boost exchange."

He also asked the enterprises at present why they chose to start business here. "The Park provides a professional platform", "Many scientist workers are glad to stay in Chengdu for the nice life atmosphere." Hearing the replies, MOSER nodded.
