Since the beginning of the month, many favorable policies on anti-cancer drugs have been introduced.
According to the National Health Commission, since May, three measures will be implemented to reduce the price of anti-cancer drugs— zero tariff for imported anti-cancer drugs; price negotiation and procurement by government for all anti-cancer drugs covered by health insurance; health insurance access negotiations for anti-cancer drugs that are not covered by health insurance.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs and the National Medical Products Administration together issued a Notice on the Value-Added Tax Policies for Anti-Cancer Drugs. From May 1, 2018 on, import VAT will be levied at a rate of 3% on imported anti-cancer drugs (including 103 anti-cancer drug preparations and 51 anti-cancer bulk drugs).
Will the "tariff relief and price negotiation" combination significantly reduce the price of anti-cancer drugs and ease people's concern over the exorbitant cost of anti-cancer drugs? A single picture tells you how much↓↓↓
